NEW! Buyer Admission Policy

There have been some changes to the admissions policy, so be sure to review this year’s policies to find out if you are qualified to attend in 2009. Admission to SFS is strictly enforced to maintain the integrity of the buying audience. All attendees at the show must be volume buyers who sell directly to end-customers or hospitality industry buyers If you have any questions, please contact the Super Floral Show Management Team.
Buyer Admission Policies

All personnel must provide government issued photo ID (i.e. driver’s license, passport, etc.) and proof of employment (i.e pay stub, business card, company ID card, verification of employment on company letterhead etc.) when picking up your badge onsite. Failure to provide required identification will prevent admission to SFS. The SFS Management team reserves the right to remove you from the show floor if misrepresentation has occured.
Am I qualified to attend The Super Floral Show?

You are qualified to attend if you are a Floral Buyer for any of the following categories. All Buyers must be exclusively employed and salaried by the retail buying organization. Company identification (i.e pay stub, business card, company ID card, verification of employment on company letterhead etc.) and a government issued photo ID (i.e. driver’s license, passport, etc.) is required in order to attend.
New for 2009 - SFS is now open to:

Wholesale Florists - (Supply to 20 or less retail units): Wholesale florists who supply small to mid-size (20 or less retail units) may register for and attend SFS.

Mass Market Retailers:

Employees who are involved in purchasing floral and foliage products for the company and/or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases. You must be employed exclusively and salaried by the retailer or buying organization.

1. Convenience Stores: Must have 100+ retail stores
2. Craft Stores
3. Department Stores
4. Discount Stores
5. Drug Store Chains
6. Home Centers
7. Supercenters
8. Wholesale Clubs

Grocery Wholesalers:

1. Employees who are involved in purchasing floral and foliage products for the company and/or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases.
2. You must be employed exclusively and salaried by the retailer or buying organization.

Retail Florists:

1. Must sell a minimum of $500,000 in floral and foliage products per year.
2. Employees involved in purchasing floral and foliage products for the company and/or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases.
3. You must also be employed exclusively and salaried by retailer.

Supermarkets :

1. Employees who are involved in purchasing floral and foliage products for the company and/or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases.
2. You must be employed exclusively and salaried by the retailer or buying organization.

Wholesale/Voluntary/Cooperative Supermarkets:

1. Employees who are involved in purchasing floral and foliage products for the company and/or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases.
2. You must be employed exclusively and salaried by the retailer or buying organization.

Event Floral Suppliers:

1. Should sell a minimum of $500,000 in floral and foliage products per year.
2. Companies whose primary business is directly supplying floral and foliage products to special events, tradeshows, and conferences.
3. Employees involved in purchasing floral and foliage products for the company or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases .
4. Must be employed exclusively and salaried by company.

Retail Garden Centers:

1. At least 51% of revenue should come from retail sales to end-customers.
2. Employees involved in purchasing floral and foliage products for the company or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases.
3. Must be employed exclusively and salaried by retailer.

Online & Catalog Retailers:

1. At least 51% of revenue should come from retail sales to end-customers. Employees involved in purchasing live and floral products for the company or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases.
2. Must be employed exclusively and salaried by retailer.

Hospitality Industry Buyers:

1. Should buy a minimum of $500,000in floral and foliage products per year.
2. Buyers or purchasers whose job description includes purchasing floral and foliage products for their properties.
3. Must be employed exclusively and salaried by hospitality industry.

Interiorscapers:

1. Companies whose primary business is supplying and maintaining floral and foliage products for interior environments.
2. Employees involved in purchasing floral and foliage products for the company or executives whose decisions or recommendations affect the company’s purchases.
3. Must be employed exclusively and salaried by company.

Designated Buying Agents:

1. Individuals whose advice is necessary to a Supermarket or Mass-Market Retailer in purchasing floral and foliage products for their company.
2. Includes consultants, suppliers, and others who are not exclusively employed by the Buyer’s organization.
3. DBAs may not be owners or employees of non-exhibiting suppliers.

Qualified Supermarkets and Mass-Market Retailers must apply to sponsor a DBA.
All DBAs are subject to approval by SFS Management. DBA's must donwload and complete a DBA Agreement prior to registering for the event.

Media/Analysts:

1. Editors and reporters from trade publications, online publications, newspapers, or newsletters produced by industry associations.
2. Writers from recognized market research or financial institutions who write for regularly published newsletters and/or reports.
3. May attend provided they represent ONLY the specific publication or organization.

You are NOT QUALIFIED to attend if you fall within any of the categories listed below:

Wholesale Florists - (Supply 21+ retail units):
Wholesale florists (owners & employees) who supply high volume retailers (21+ retail units) are NOT able to attend SFS. You may exhibit at SFS. For more information on exhibiting, contact Leslie Rosa at 207-842-5591 or at lrosa@divcom.com.

Non-Exhibiting Supplier:

This policy is strictly enforced and there are no exceptions.
