New award to be given at the 2009 show:
Oriental Cymbidium Award
A new award will be given at the 2009 show - the Oriental Cymbidium Award. Donated by Jensoa Enthusiasts, the aim of this award is to encourage collecting, growing, and showing of the Jensoa sub-genus of cymbidiums orchids as well as encourage hybridization resulting in improvement and ease of culture of these plants in different climates. The award is for the best orchid in the Jensoa sub-genus of cymbidiums, whether species or hybrid. Hybrids must consist predominantly (over 50%) of one or more species from that sub-genus and must retain the charm of the Oriental cymbidiums.
