THE COURSE IS 80 HOURS
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY - TWO WEEKS
8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M. (1 HOUR FOR LUNCH)

CREATIVE FLORAL DESIGN SCHOOL of NEW ORLEANS is licensed by LOUISIANA STATE BOARD of REGENTS (LICENSE #661), and adheres to the rules and regulations of the Louisiana Proprietary School Advisory Commission. We are licensed to teach for employment.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN EACH CLASS IS 13, S0 EACH STUDENT RECEIVES INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION.
OF THE 80 HOURS, 65 HOURS ARE HANDS-ON, AT THE WORK TABLE ...... AND15 HOURS ARE LECTURE HOURS. EACH STUDENT HAS HIS / HER OWN WORK TABLE, OWN SET OF TEXTBOOKS AND TOOLS, ( tools and textbook not included in the cost of the course) All LABELED WITH THE STUDENTS NAME.
THE STUDENTS WILL GET AND KEEP A THICK NOTEBOOK FULL OF SUPPORT MATERIAL FOR THE ENTIRE 80 HOURS.
WE USE PREMIUM QUALITY FRESH FLOWERS, AND WE HAVE A LARGE WALK-IN REFRIGERATOR TO STORE THE FLOWERS.
STUDENTS TAKE HOME ALMOST ALL OF THEIR DESIGNS.
I HAVE BEEN IN THE FLOWER BUSINESS FOR 48 YEARS. THE LAST 24 YEARS, I HAVE OPERATED THE SCHOOL AND TAUGHT THE FLORAL DESIGN COURSE. I HAVE DESIGNED ON DESIGN SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND CONVENTION DESIGN SCHOOLS ALL OVER THE SOUTH. I AM A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF FLORISTS, SINCE 1972.
THE JANUARY 12, 2009 CLASS Will BE OUR ONE HUNDRED Fifty Eighth (158TH) CLASS. WE HAVE OVER 2600 STUDENTS WHO HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE COURSE. MANY OF THE STUDENTS ARE FROM LOUISIANA, BUT THE MAJORITY ARE FROM OUT OF STATE. MANY ARE FROM OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. ...... MEXICO, CENTRAL SOUTH AND AMERICA, CANADA, AND AS FAR AWAY AS INDIA, SOUTH AFRICA, A ND CYPRUS.
