A tall and lacy annual that fills space rapidly. Cosmos is renowned for its profuse blooms and generous self-seeding habit. Useful for cut flowers and mass planting. Cosmos are perfect for providing large splashes of pastel color in the back of the garden. They bloom from most heavily from September into frost. Cosmos are a valuable source of nectar for bees and hummingbirds when other flowers have faded.

Planting
Cosmos is best direct-seeded where they are to grow, when the soil has warmed. Plant several seeds in a group, and cover lightly. Space plantings 45cm (18") apart.

Growing Tips
Pinching the growing tip when the plants are about 15cm (6") tall will encourage a more bushy, branching plan
