Identifying Different Types of Flowers

Hi, my name's Jessica Smith. I'm with Blands Nursery in West Jordan, Utah. Today, we're talking about identifying different types of flowers, from annual, perennial to biennial. What are the difference? Well, a perennial is a plant that lives for two years or longer. A biennial is a plant that only lives for two years. Mostly they'll only bloom the second year, and the first year they usually only have green growth. As for annual flowers; these are plants that'll give you a loads of color throughout the summer seasons; however, you need to replant them each year. The way to identify each of them; it can be difficult. The perennials and annuals will not be all the same throughout the country. In areas that are the north they this plant may only be an annual plant, but down south, it could be a perennial. Check with your local nursery to see what actually grows in your area.
