Welcome to the website of The Woodstock Garden Club

The Woodstock Garden Club started winter: around 1950 as a group of women gathered informally to discuss their horticulture successes and failures. Our club's purpose is to encourage an interest in gardening, to help with beautification of the town, and to aid in protection and conservation of our natural resources. Our membership is made up of a vibrant group of people with a keen interest in gardening.

Please view our site and find out what activities are planned for the coming year, what is happening in our area (and afar), some gardening tips and and how to become a member of The Woodstock Garden Club.

Community Donations Committee
The Garden Club strives to promote and encourage organizations in our community that share our PURPOSE through annual donations.

Education Committee
This committee awards scholarships to further horticultural education to qualified graduating high school seniors; gives horticultural encouragement awards to one Woodstock student in each grade 7-12. An annual gift for the purchase of horticultural books is sent to each elementary school (Barnard, Pomfret, Bridgewater, Reading, and Woodstock) and to the Norman Williams Library.

Flowers and Greens Committee
This committee organizes our annual Christmas Greens workshop in December. The workshop gives members the opportunity to learn about and make Christmas wreaths and decorations for their homes. We also make decorations for one of the homes on the Pentangle House Tour, which is held on Wassail Weekend.
